These 2*40minute interactive sessions will provide the opportunity to hear about these areas and ask our Scientists questions about a career within healthcare science.

DYW Context:
Healthcare science is the fourth largest professional group within the NHS with a workforce in Scotland that is approximately 7000 strong. They are involved in 80% of diagnostic decisions throughout the patient journey and are at the heart of improving healthcare and advancing scientific development through technology and innovation. Healthcare scientists work in one of these 4 areas: bioinformatics and data science; physical sciences and biomedical engineering; life sciences and physiological sciences.

This course provides an opportunity to hear from people involved in two of these areas and ask our Scientists questions about a career within healthcare science.
