Would you like to be a support worker, a social worker or a care home nurse? These are just some of the range of careers we’ll showcase in our first ever Social Care Careers Week.
Throughout the week, we’ll talk live to people in a variety of roles to demystify what social care workers actually do every day, with the chance for you to ask questions about what it’s like to do the jobs.
Our daily morning programme will see real social care professionals delivering 30 minute webinars on the website with live Q&A. These will be recorded afterwards. In the afternoons our 45-minute sessions via MS Teams will introduce you to social care as the diverse sector it is. We’ll look at career pathways and the opportunities to become a registered social care professional.
We’ll discuss the valuable skills that young people bring to social care and hear from young workers about what it’s like to start their careers with us. And importantly, we’ll explain the routes into the sector, including entry-level jobs, college courses and apprenticeship opportunities, so that everyone knows where to start.
Discover a whole world of rewarding career options supporting people to live their lives the way they want to.
