This course will provide seven sessions introducing learners to personal development, with a focus on employability.

The sessions and associated follow up activities should provide all the learning and theory required for learners to independently work towards a Personal Development Award afterwards (with support from their class teacher) at SCQF 4, 5 or 6 as appropriate to the learner.

This course is intended to be taken alongside DYW Scotland's Skills Academy and attending both will provide tasks for learners 4/5 days of the week during Wednesday 26th April to Friday 12th May and is repeated from Monday 22nd May to Tuesday 30th May. Friday 28th April - Session 2 - Job Market Today

Wednesday 3rd May - Session 3 - Contacts and Networking

Friday 5th May - Session 4 - Writing Your First CV

Wednesday 10th May - Session 5 - Matching Your Skills

Friday 12th May - Session 6 - Preparing for Interviews

Wednesday 17th May - Session 7 - The Job Offer and Starting Work

Monday 22nd May to Tuesday 30th May - Session 1 to 7 repeated.

Additional Requirements:
Class webcam and microphone would be helpful for communication and interaction.
