Description:
The Young STEM Leader Programme (YSLP) is an exciting new award which aims to spark greater interest and participation in STEM among young people in Scotland. The session is an opportunity to hear from the Young STEM Leader team about how the programme works and how to get involved. There will also be a short Q&A at the end.

It is open to anyone interested in learning more about the YSLP or looking to deliver it in their centre - including schools, youth groups and community groups.

By the end of the session, participants will understand:

  • What the Young STEM Leader Programme is
  • How the programme can be delivered in school or community settings
  • What the next steps are to becoming a YSLP Delivering Centre

The award is free, supported by the Scottish Government, and available at six levels: Curriculum for Excellence Second, Third and Fourth levels and at SCQF Levels 4, 5 and 6. The session will cover information about all of these levels.
