John Muir Award Support for Secondary Schools (BGE) The John Muir Trust is providing additional support for secondary practitioners, particularly within Broad General Education who are looking to use the John Muir Award as part of a recovery curriculum.

These drop- in sessions will introduce the package of support that is available including: a planning tool for meeting the Award challenges across curriculum subject areas; and a suite of ready to go lesson ideas that you can make use of in school or as remote learning tasks. The session will be an opportunity to ask any questions that you have around delivering a John Muir Award with your learners.

The John Muir Award is an environmental Award scheme that encourages people to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. The Award works well within any curriculum area or as an inter-disciplinary project and participation is recognised by a nationally recognised certificate.

Additional Requirements:
Please note these session are for practitioners only in Secondary Schools (BGE).

Other Info:
Need to run during twilight timings - happy to offer 19th Jan, 2nd Feb, 9th Feb, 23rd Feb and 2nd Mar as start point dates for next session in 2022.
