National Museums Scotland is a large organisation in Scotland’s tourism, culture and heritage sector, with around 450 members of staff employed across 4 different museums. We care for over 14 million objects covering topics as diverse as Scottish history, science and technology, art, design and fashion, world cultures, and the natural world.

In this session, you’ll hear from one of the learning team about their job as Learning Enablers. Enablers are part of the team who help people learn more about the museum’s collections by delivering workshops, events and activities. This job is all about People and Communication. Would your pupils like to do a job like this? By meeting one of the team, watching a short film, and taking part in an interactive quiz, pupils can discover more about the key transferable skills involved.

Additional Requirements:
Ideally if pupils could have individual devices or if teachers could vote on behalf of pupils as we'll be using Mentimeter throughout to track engagement/ask questions/get feedback.

Other Info:
We have additional resources to support this session that could be used before or after the session as an extension activity.
