In this workshop we will look at the links between languages and employability, including both specific and transferrable skills that come about through learning new languages. We will share examples of relevant and engaging work on this undertaken by schools across the country. There will be time to discuss how you can make meaningful connections between language learning and the Developing the Young Workforce agenda in your own classes, and to look at some of the resources that are available to help with this.

DYW Context:
This workshop will help teachers to identify and highlight for learners the specific and transferrable skills that learning languages brings, and to how these can relate to a wide range of future career opportunities.
