Description:
The vision is to create a programme that drives financial health and wealth: enabling young people to gain access to basic financial know-how and enable and encourage young people to understand the importance of digital and financial know-how for the future.

The programme will run virtual sessions (lasting about an hour) with schools across Scotland to present an overview of Fintech and the impact Fintech is making (including Fintech for Good).

The sessions will talk about possible careers in Fintech including a call for pupils to consider Fintech as a future career. These sessions are delivered by Deloitte along with FinTech Scotland's industry experts, providing an educational overview on some of the hottest trends and topics in Fintech. Students and teachers will be able to connect with Fintech experts and explore the exciting world of Financial Technology.

These sessions aim to enable students to:

  • 1. Manage their own personal finances
  • 2. Learn about core topics such as open banking, mobile payments, cryptocurrency, and blockchain
  • 3. Gain insight into the career paths that are available across the FinTech and technology landscape

The sessions will be fun, engaging and allow students to consider career paths they may not be aware of.

Target audience is S1-S3 but anyone with an interest in find out more about FinTech is welcome.

FinTech is shaping the future of finance and is developing rapidly. It’s driven by contributions from a completely diverse range of talent and skills, and it's vital that our children and young people are engaged in the future of FinTech. FinTech for Schools aims to encourage awareness and enthusiasm from the next generation to learn what FinTech is and possible careers available.

Certificate:
Your learners can receive their own certificate to their Glow email for attending this course. All they need to do is complete the feedback form. The certificate will include their name and the course they attended. Teachers will also receive a copy of the certificate.
