Scottish Careers Week 2024
Join a Scottish Careers Week Industry Inspiration talk!
Scottish Careers Week 2024 takes place 11 – 15 November and is a chance for young people to get inspiration, information and advice to help make positive career choices.
Education Scotland, e-Sgoil and Skills Development Scotland (SDS) are working in partnership to deliver a range of inspirational DYW Live talks from young people in business.
These Industry Inspiration talks are given by a range of individuals working in some of the most important areas of business in Scotland including Construction, Digital Technology, Energy, Engineering and Finance, with many of them working in areas that support a greener environment.
The 30-minute sessions are a chance to hear about their learning and career journeys, how they got into their jobs and get an insight into work they do in their current roles.
The full suite of talks are available to watch from Monday, 11 November.
You can also join two live 30-minute panel sessions at 2pm on 13th and 14th November featuring some of this year’s presenters, discussing their learning and work experiences.
Co-ordinated by SDS, the national skills agency, along with a wide range of local and national partners, Scottish Careers Week will feature events and activities to help people of all ages explore, understand and manage their career choices, and the services and resources available to support them.
Delivered through the theme ‘Shape the Future’, the campaign highlights that great career support helps people find their passion and thrive.
For schools, Scottish Careers Week is a way to spark career inspiration, make connections with local employers, and explore exciting opportunities for pupils.
We have a Padlet available here where you can submit questions for the speakers in advance of the live sessions.
