To Celebrate Maths Week Scotland, DYW Live has live webinars taking place on Wednesday 24th September. The theme for Maths Week Scotland 2025 is 'Wild Maths' Bringing nature and numbers together. Wild Maths will explore plants and wildlife, weather and natural forces, outdoor learning, and so much more!

Sessions will be 30 minutes and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams (Glow not required). Sessions will start at 09:45, and 11:45 and are aimed at learners in P5-P7 (Level 2).

We will also have a fantastic pre recorded session suitable for secondary learners, to show at a time that fits into your timetable. Xavi from Industrial Light & Magic will explain how they use Maths in the creative sector to produce high quality VFX and CGI in films such as The Mandalorian, Pirates of the Carribean and Jurassic Park, with a particular emphasis on generating artificial weather.
