e-Sgoil will once again offer National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher for Gaidhlig and Gaelic (Learners) pupils. These courses are available to pupils anywhere in Scotland and are delivered in partnership with UHI North, West and Hebrides.
There is no minimum class size for these courses and the maximum number of pupils is 30. There will be no cost incurred to participate in Gaelic NQs.
For National 5, some background in the language e.g. Duolingo or SpeakGaelic is preferred but not essential. For Higher a B at National 5 is recommended. For Advanced Higher an A at Higher is recommended.
The course is a mix of live lessons and personal study and independent work outside class alongside homework will be required. For beginners, National 5 can be an intensive course and requires a lot of additional self-study and commitment.
As part of the course application, candidates will undertake a short task to assess their level and ensure they are in the correct class.
